School Donations

At SDN Karangrejo 01 in Semarang, recycled-plastic desks, benches, and paving became part of the garden and learning spaces. The school was preparing for the Adiwiyata environmental school program.

The first installation used plastic collected from employees at PT Raja Besi. It demonstrates a route from recovered material to school facilities. The student waste bank introduces a separate route for pupils to contribute recyclable material.

The June 2026 National Geographic Indonesia report and the supplied project account record 350 paving blocks and five shade trees planted with the school. The visit also included material demonstrations, discussion, and an introduction to the QR-based waste bank.

Reporting note: the published article lists 50 desks and 50 benches, while a supplied project draft lists 25 of each. We describe the furniture without a consolidated quantity until delivery records are reconciled. These installation figures are not lifetime project totals.

The next question is how the installation performs over time. Useful records include equipment use and maintenance, dated collections, accepted and rejected material, repeat participation, and completed reward handovers. Photographs document implementation; they do not establish a carbon-savings total.
