From Jatibarang to the school
Green Soldier is a student-founded project in Semarang that turns suitable plastic into school equipment and connects student deposits with school-managed rewards. National Geographic Indonesia documented the pilot at SDN Karangrejo 01. Related Lumiere research examines how schools can share treatment capacity under uncertainty.

“At SDN Karangrejo 01 the recycled equipment became part of the garden and learning spaces. Students explored material samples and joined tree planting alongside a digital waste-bank demonstration. The first installation used plastic collected from factory employees. The school program opens a route for students to participate.”

Lumiere research compares 231 capacity configurations across 10,000 weekly scenarios. The leading hybrid combines 20% shared capacity with 25% reserve and a 2.25% simulated failure rate. The dashboard shows the reported results with the calculations below.
